The children’s resale is this Saturday. When I look at it there is no doubt there are more clothes piled up there than at any previous resale. This is exciting.

Clean up starts at 12 noon. Just show up for one hour or until done at 4 p.m.

This Sunday’s message I continue the series “Say it Again, Pastor” with one of the most controversial sayings of Jesus – “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to God except through me.” Jesus said he is the only way to heaven. We will see why that is true.

I have been going through history boxes getting ready for the Homecoming / 40th Anniversary CelebrationOctober 12. Here are some things I’ve found:

The sheet of paper that has the Church Board on it for 1974, the Board that hired Linda and me.

The budget for 1974 was $14,500.

I found the original program for the very first Bethlehem Marketplace in 1990. It is small and on a single sheet of green paper.

The survey that led to the relocation.

And much more. This is humbling and exciting.

In recent weeks I have had several sources bring to my attention the differences between Islam and Christianity and the outreach to Muslims in the US. One source that may interest people is channel 12.4 (antenna TV), the Aramaic Broadcasting Network from Walled Lake, Michigan. It is Christian TV targeted to Muslims.
