Heaven for Kids
One of the gifts Linda and I are giving to our kids’ families is the book “Heaven for Kids” by Randy Alcorn. It is written for 8-12 year olds, costs $13, and is a simple, much shorter version of Alcorn’s big book on heaven. It is done in a question and answer format. One of the questions is “Is there time in heaven?” The answer is yes, because there is music in heaven and there can be no music without time. I had never thought of it that way. This book is very good for adults too. Did I just help you with your last minute Christmas shopping?
Bethel College Scholarship Fund
Linda and I made out our check to Bethel College this year so we can take advantage of the huge tax reduction offering by the State of Indiana when we give to an Indiana college. Everyone should do this. Get more details here. To get this tax advantage and help our Bethel students, your check must be made out to Bethel College and given to FMC by December 21.
Bethlehem Marketplace
4,124 people came and walked the streets of Bethlehem – a record attendance. Three of my granddaughters, aged 4-9, came through on Saturday. The 9 year old was Baby Jesus 9 years ago. They all said they want to be dancers in BMP next year. We will sign them up. Thanks, everyone, for your hard work.
BMP music is in this Sunday’s services. The music starts 20 minutes early.
A Note from our Counselor
Peace and Joy to you. We have the incredible privilege of welcoming the Son of God into our daily lives and focusing on the glory of the incarnation as we go about our holiday celebrations. As we learn to focus more on our Savior, the problems, deadlines, and pressures we face fade into their proper place. I want to offer you a free gift – the downloadable pdf “As a Man Thinketh” by James Allen. Visit my website to download this booklet.
