Norm’s Notes

June 30, 2015

Today I had a 45 minute conversation in my office with our ministry partner from Israel. It was very inspiring. He talked about the 66 graduates from the Bible college, 11 of them being Arab Christians who will go back to their own communities to present Christ. Our support of our missionary is impacting the middle east region.

One of the ministry tools our partner needs is a newer car. His present one is a Kia with 200,000 miles on it. He had an opportunity to purchase a newer one with only 12,000 miles on it for $23,000 but did not have the funds to do so immediately and such cars sell very quickly. Pastor Joel and I talked about presenting this need to the congregation and asking people to give generously to a fund that would have the needed amount sitting there so when the next good deal comes along, they will be ready. Your generous gift this week will help our ministry partner in Israel have a much needed tool. There is already $5,000 raised toward this need from people outside FMC.

He is speaking in both services this Sunday at FMC. He will be talking about the ministry and about the resurrection of Christ. He just completed his doctorate on this topic. His wife is speaking to the ladies nextWednesday, July 7, at 7 p.m. in the fireside room. She will be sharing about her ministry to prostitutes. For security reasons we purposely do not publish their names in anything we have.
See you Sunday!
