Norm’s Notes                                                                                    March 31, 2016

Notes from here and there…

I am still running over and over in my mind the song and the scene from the Easter musical where Elizabeth Church sang and everyone put on their white robes in heaven. A super-great job, Easter cast and crew. Thank you.

I performed the grave side service for Theresa Chrysler on Monday. Theresa was raised Catholic and attended the Catholic church until the early 1980s when she started to attend FMC. She convinced her whole family to attend with her. All six children were raised here. When she started to attend FMC she started to read her Bible, which she did faithfully for the rest of her life. She also read the “Our Daily Bread” devotional every day until the day she went home to heaven. She was a loving wife and mother who sacrificed greatly for her kids and grand kids. Well done, Theresa.

This Sunday at 10:30 a.m. I start “Starting Point” class in room S105. If you have ever checked on the Friendship Pad “I want to start a relationship with Jesus” this class is for you. Just show up with a friend after you get your coffee and donuts.

If you saw “God’s Not Dead”, it looks like “God’s Not Dead 2” is as good. Don’t go alone; take a friend.

Check out Ark Encounter being built in Kentucky. We need to go there. The architects for the massive project are from the Troyer Group in Mishawaka, Indiana, the same people who designed all the construction projects at FMC.

One of the sign-ups I have done is to get “Steuben County Jobs Online” Facebook posts. I am amazed at how many jobs needing to be filled are out there, right in our county.

I wish someone would retrain all servers in restaurants and fast food places to not call me “hon”. To me “hon” is short for “honey” and “honey” is a term of endearment between people who have a very close relationship. I do not have a very close relationship with anyone in the “please just serve me the food I ordered” industry. Just saying…
