Norm’s Notes                                                                                     August 5, 2016

Last Friday, Linda and I attended the funeral of Laura Williams, wife of the pastor at Pathway Community Church in Fort Wayne. She was 52 years old and battled breast cancer for five years. For seven years we have spent a week with Ron (her hubby) and Laura at the Missionary Church Large Church Pastors Conference – usually in a warm spot in February. One year, when she had lost all her hair because of her treatment, she brought a half dozen wigs with her to the conference and wore a different wig each day and had a different personality to go with it. Linda had been meeting with Laura and the wives of other pastors about once a month over these years.
 
The 90 minute video of the entire funeral service is here. I draw your attention especially to marker 53:20 where her son, Dawson, shares about his mom. Dawson will be a high school senior this year. That is followed by Ron speaking to their four children. This is very good. Laura’s was a life very well lived.

Many kids are into dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are coming to Fort Wayne August 13-14. Looks like a good family outing just before going back to school.
