Norm’s Notes |
January 24, 2013 |
Well done, good and faithful servant!
As this email goes out, Glenn and I are in Ft. Wayne, conducting the funeral of Norm Wolfe. Long time attenders will remember Norm. He and his wife, Norma, were very active at FMC in the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s. Norma became ill about 15 years ago and Norm spent all his time caring for her. She passed away December 27, 2012, and Norm seemed to have nothing to keep him going after that and sort of “gave up.”
Norm was a part of a singing group, Southern Praise, that gets together once a month at FMC. It is mostly a 60+ crowd and they sing the old hymns. Everyone in the group has their favorites and Norm’s song was “Had it Not Been.” Listen to it here. This is how Norm would have liked it. He would be the deep base of the quartet. The Southern Praise group is singing at Norm’s service too. Norm is the first of the group to go home to the Lord.
Well done, Norm.
