Our Doctrinal Statement

Visitors to Fairview Missionary Church often ask, “What do you believe?” “What is your doctrine?” We respond:

We believe. . .

-in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.
-in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is inerrant in the original manuscript and is the unchanging authority in matters of Christian faith and practice.
-man was created by an immediate act of God, and in the image of God.
-man is sinful and in need of a Savior. Jesus Christ’s death on the cross is God’s provision for man’s sin.
-Man must be born again. Spiritually this is done by repenting of sin and accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
-every believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit.
-Jesus is coming again in bodily form.
-everyone will answer to God for what he/she has done.
-the ordinances are two in number: Baptism and The Lord’s Supper.
