1. Things my extended family has shared with me on Facebook this week:
“Got saved yesterday at church, what a wonderful feeling! Getting baptized next Sunday
!”“A friend called last night. She’s taking in her 5 nieces and nephews, the oldest is 7. Yes, she is crazy. She turns 50 next month. Something really cool happened. She was at Wal Mart. A stranger walks up and puts a fist of cash in her hand. He says we wanted you to know God loves you. He had no idea she was getting 5 children. He was with a small group of young adults and introduced them as staff at Gull Lake Bible Conference Center.”
2. Getting older: Linda signed me up for Medicare this week. Actually signing up only takes five minutes on line. The Medicare program is complicated for normal people.
3. We still have some openings in the Norm’s Tours trip to Notre Dame and Bethel College. It is onMonday, June 17, leaving FMC at 8:15 a.m. Sign up by contacting Stephanee. She sits closest to the sign up sheet in the office. Get more information here.
4. Because Joel is speaking this week (and the next two also) I am attending an 8:00 small church, going to 9:00 worship where I get to sit with my wife, then going to a 10:30 small church. I want to experience what a normal Sunday is for the average attender.
