Joel and I first announced Transition Sunday in November of 2012. The last 27 months have gone by quickly. In my heart and in my mind I am ready. Joel is ready too.

Will I be emotional and cry on Sunday? Probably, yes. You may too. We are all witnesses to one of the most unique changes of leadership that any church has ever done. It will become a model for others to follow. God has been with us. Thank you, everyone, for your support and encouragement.

I am excited about the future of FMC. It is so bright with Joel and Karolyn leading. Many pastors will put their whole life or many years into a church only to have the next pastor undo all God has done in the past. That is not going to happen at FMC. However, if the church is going to grow and continue to reach the lost, changes must be made.

I am excited about the opportunity to give everyone an invitation to a small group / small church in the future. That is part of my new role. I look forward to helping people through the sharp curves and turns in life as FMC’s Caring Pastor.
