Facebook
There is this idea going around on Facebook again that Facebook is going to charge for keeping your information private and your photos copyrighted, etc. Facebook is even going to scan your brain for information. All kinds of weird stuff – again. The best response to it all comes from my son Tony in South Bend. He posted that if you will send him a check for $5.99, or any amount you want to send, he will see to it that your Facebook experience remains the same as it now is. His friends have offered to send him a penny, 50 cents, and 1000 Indonesian Rupiah, whatever that is. He has good friends with deep pockets. I never thought my son would be involved in an internet get rich quick scheme, but someone had to do it. Good job, Tony.
 
See You at the Pole
My granddaughter Anna, an almost 14 year old 8th grader, attends public school in South Bend. Three years ago at their “See You at the Pole” where students gather at the campus flag pole to pray for their school, they had three in attendance – Anna and two friends. This year I counted 45 students in the picture.

It’s time to start filling your Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. Boxes are available in the foyer at church. Filled boxes are due back November 15.

Medical Trivia
Here is some medical advice that was passed on to me:
Did you know that if you have a tattoo you may not be able to get an MRI on that area of your body? MRIs are done with magnets. Some tattoos are done with ink that has metal in it. During an MRI the metal in the ink can cause serious burns.
 
Also, if you have recently eaten poppy seeds in your food it is not a good idea to get a drug test. Poppy seeds can possibly cause you to look like a heroin user.
