Random Thoughts on Friday

1. We just had the going home celebration for Charles Means. Charles and Hariet have been a part of FMC since 1968. Charles was on the Church Board that hired Linda and me. I first met him 39 years ago last week. He was a huge encouragement to a young pastor. He gave the church its first copy machine in 1976. He helped set up the first two-hour children’s ministry. His teenage daughters played the piano and organ in the small church. He helped set my feet in the right direction. Well done, Charles, well done.
2. Second Saturday Serve is tomorrow. We have more people to serve than ever and so need more servers than ever. Meet in the gym at 8:00.
