Parts of three different conversations I have had with three different people this last week:
1. “For better or worse” in your marriage vows does not include you being abused by your spouse. It is ok to leave him, to give him a “wake up” call.
2. Stop praying for your ex. You have an emotional link to people you pray for. Have one last prayer to hand them over to God for good. As long as you are praying for them, you will not be able to heal from the wounds and take your next step in life.
3. Divorce will never turn out the way you think it will. From now on someone else, the court, will make decisions for your family until your youngest child turns 18, or even longer.
Pray for families.
