Thoughts from Here and There
Thank you for your prayers. It seems that a larger number of people than usual tell me they are praying for me. Much appreciated. The prayer times in the sanctuary continue tonight, Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Come and go as you can. This has been a good week of prayer.
Don’t forget the 40 Days of Prayer for the Election prayer times at various churches each morning as well.

Our National Debt
Consider this: you are a family that makes $350 a day and you borrow $350 a day to live on. Wealthy to say the least. But it all catches up when you are in debt $1,600,000 and your $350 a day income only covers the interest on your $1,600,000 debt but you keep borrowing anyway.
Translate that to the Federal Government:
$3,500,000,000 income per day
$3,500,000,000 borrowed per day
$16,000,000,000,000 in debt
By 2019 your income only pays the interest on your debt, yet you keep on borrowing. It’s going to be very painful for us all when reality hits and we have no money. And both parties are equally guilty of the borrowing. This calls for serious prayer.

Text Message
Matthew 6:19-21 (msg)
“Don’t hoard treasure down here where it gets eaten by moths and corroded by rust or – worse! – stolen by burglars. Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it’s safe from moth and rust and burglars. It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.”
