Norm’s Notes

Church News
Norm’s Notes has a new look to make it mobile device friendly. From time to time I am asked what sites can you trust on the internet to give you the right answers to spiritual and Biblical questions. One of the best I have seen is “Got Questions?“.You can get to it from FMC’s home page too. 441,000 Bible questions answered.  Last Sunday I started the message talking about the mess we are in as a world, nation, and in our personal lives. On Monday one person said to me, “I thought you were going to talk about my life then I realized my life is no longer a mess because I am here!” God indeed helps clean up the messes of our lives. Have you picked up your Operation Christmas Child shoe box to fill? To me it seems like our church librarian, Cathy Tatro, is here all the time working in the library but with 4,500 books, cataloging, checking out, returns and new donations, it is a huge job. Thank you, Cathy, for a job well done. The library is in S101. It’s nice. A couple of weeks ago the internet was down at FMC and I happened to be the one who talked to the Mediacom repair guy when he came. He said to me, “Every place I go people tell me how good this church is.”
Around Town
Cameron Hospital gives out an award from time to time for improved landscaping on a house. The guys who designed the landscaping at the new hospital should get an award also. The south side is complete and beautiful and the north side portion that is complete is great too. We all cannot wait to see it all done. Great job, guys! The new monument circle in downtown Angola is beautiful too. Great job, crew.  While talking about landscaping, one mum plant at my house has a “thousand” blooms on it. It is 3 1/2 feet across. Never has it grown that big. The Angola High School FFA wants to assist you in your leaf clean up this fall. Our own Zack Chard is the president of this group. Email him at zack1497@gmail.comto line up his group. Do it early, even for hard working FFA young people this could be a huge task. Just for fun… for all the chocolate lovers out there.

Let’s take a trip to a Bethel basketball gameTuesday, October 27. Leave FMC at 5:20 p.m. home by 11:00 p.m. We will get into the game free – a perk that Bethel offers friends of pastors. Get a hot dog and drink at the concession stand at the basketball arena. It is the first game of the season; they play IUSB – always a rival. Sign up at the Connection Center or email Stephanee, she sits closest to the sign up sheet. Fairview Florida PicnicSaturday, January 30, 2016 at noon in Sarasota, Florida.
