Church News
GriefShare’s “Surviving the Holidays” – Sunday, November 15, 3:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. This is very good; 1 1/2 – 2 hours long. Not just for those who have lost a loved one but also for those who are helping people who have lost loved ones. Bring someone with you.

I noticed in the literature rack across from the mailboxes at church a booklet entitled “Answering your Questions about Bethlehem Marketplace.” It is good reading. It gives you all the details of what it takes to pull off our largest bridge event at the church. Signup continues this Sunday. Sign up soon to get the spot you want. It takes over 200 people to make Bethlehem Marketplace touch so many lives.

Community Gift and Craft Show at Fairview is THIS Saturday, November 7th. 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 82 vendors signed up to participate. Don’t come by yourself, bring a friend who does not yet attend FMC or any church.

Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes are due November 15. Our goal this year is 700 boxes. Many people would rather just give to this and let the kids pack the shoe boxes at the Family Packing Party this Sunday. A filled box plus shipping costs about $30. You can also go online and fill a box for a closed country. Check it out here.

The new song we are learning for the Salt and Light series, that talks about shaking like a salt shaker – wait until you see the kids do that part of the song on Family Worship Sunday, November 29. Get your cameras out.
What kids really want for Christmas …
I know it is early, but Ikea’s 2014 Christmas commercial is very good and needs to be viewed now, not later in the season. You may want to watch it 2 or 3 times.
