Norm’s Notes 12-17-15
Head Injury Update: Thank you, everyone, for your prayers and cards. I am heading in the right direction but still have a few miles to go to be functioning at 100%. Here is how my week has been. On Monday the doctor said I could work 2 hours, rest, and work 2 hours, and go home. So on Tuesday, Linda dropped me off at the church at 8:00 a.m. I worked from 8 to 10, we are still resetting the church from Bethlehem Marketplace. I slept on a couch in the teen room from 10 to 11. I did not just rest, I slept good. Then I worked from 11 until about 1:30 when Linda came and got me. I went home, showered, ate, and was sleeping in my recliner from 2 to 4. I woke up and helped Linda move Christmas packages. I tried to watch the news at 6:30 but the TV screen gives me a headache so I went to bed at 6:40. I slept all the way to 5:30 a.m. All I want to do is sleep, which the doc says is my body telling me my brain is not healed.
On Wednesday, the doc said I could work 3 hours and rest and work 3 hours. I hope I can do it. I still get a headache when I look at a computer screen or TV but I do read some now, a few pages at a time. Doc says computers and TV tax every area of your brain and that’s why my head hurts. I am released to drive locally if I do not get a headache. Linda still does my email. When I get a headache, sometimes even on medication, that means my brain needs to rest and my healing stops when my head hurts.
I have been to Urgent Care five times in 8 days. The whole crew there are great – 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! Thank you, Doctor Tammy!
Now my goal is to have everything back to normal to watch on TV Notre Dame beat Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Tony and Andy and their families, 7 grand kids, will all be here this weekend for Christmas. This will be real fun. ____________________
There were 4000 travelers on the streets of Bethlehem this year. As in most years, about 75% of the people said they were first timers. Of the cast of 200 “residents” in the street, 52 of them were in BMP for the first time. We are already planning BMP 2016.
