Questions & Better Questions
This edition of Norm’s Notes is asking questions.
All of us ask children “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and, kids respond farmer, fireman, doctor, etc. A better question would be “What do you want to change when you grow up?” That question helps the young person to focus more on others and how he or she can help them.

Why do so many people in the health care profession (receptionists, nurses, doctors offices and even hospitals) start a conversation with “How are you today?” The obvious answer is “I am not well – that is the reason I am here.” A better question would be “How may I help you today?” Would someone please retrain all the very good people in the health care profession to start the conversation with “How may I help you today?”

Here is a good question for all small groups/small churches: Many younger people have Fantasy Football teams. It was asked in our local paper last week “Who would be in your fantasy church – also, why them?”
