Norm’s Notes                                                                                    March 17, 2016

Notes from here and there…

I like it when I observe the next generation being trained in ministry. Sunday morning I noticed a father training his 10 year old daughter how to usher and I noticed a mother training her 12 year old son how to check kids in on the computer in the children’s department (or, that may have been the son teaching the mother how to run the computer!). I watched part of the Easter musical practice Monday night and I counted 15 teens and younger kids who have all been in the Easter musical 5-7 years in a row. Many of them have grown up doing the musical and in just a few years will have the key roles. This is all very good.

While on Easter, the crucifixion scene is powerful and different this year. And seeing Jesus put the white robes on those who enter heaven, wow. Bring your kleenex and your neighbors and a praising heart. Park on the lower level lot to save the best spots for our guests who may be taking their first step toward Jesus.

Our sister church in Fort Wayne is having a marriage and parenting seminar that looks very good – “Who is waiting for your kids?”

How big is God and His creation? This is “jet fuel for your worship” – 7 minutes long but super good.
