Random thoughts that have come my way recently
There were two first time guests in church Sunday. One was a lady who sends her children to Wednesday night Awana but this was her first time at a morning worship service. The other was a man I met at the door as he walked in. It was his first time here and he asked which way to the worship service. He looked like he might like the 10:31 casual gym service so I mentioned that to him. He said no, he wanted the traditional service. I directed him to the sanctuary and then I connected him with a regular FMC couple next to him. The story of this first time attender – he is a long haul truck driver and found our church on the internet. I figure he looked at the size of the parking lot on Google Maps because he said he noticed there was room to park his semi tractor. He lives in Chicago and had not been home in 6 months. I hope he comes again.

Nine miles in one day. Mark Compton, our maintenance man, wears one of those watches that counts your steps. While setting up the Easter set Monday, March 20, his watch told him he walked nine miles that day. Thanks to everyone who helped put it all together.

Saturday, April 15, 7:00 p.m.
Easter Sunday, April 16, 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. (note early time for first service!)
I encourage you to attend a service that you bring your friends and neighbors to, and also serve during another service – nursery, ushers, greeters. Sign up at the Connection Center.

Children’s Spring and Summer Clothing and Toy Resale is coming up – Saturday, April 8, 11:30 a.m. This is always a very good outreach to the community.
