Norm’s Notes April 3, 2014

Pastor Norm

Random Thoughts

I like following the ministries we partner with in our area. God has linked us up with some organizations that are making an impact for the Kingdom. These are just a few of the groups we pray for and support.

1. Christian Campus House at Trine University. They get the job done at the age (18-25) when we are making decisions that impact us for the rest of our lives. Check out their Facebook page and their website for more info. Check out the hot dogs on Wednesdays and pancakes at midnight on Fridays. This looks like something college kids would do. I know of a family in our church that had five Trine young men who attend FMC over last week for Sunday noon meal. This is very good.

2. Camp Selah, just over the state line in Reading, Michigan. This is the camp that most of our FMC kids will go to this summer. Pastor Joel speaks there on occasion too. The camp director, Mark Emmons, portrayed Jesus in our Easter musicals for several years. Play around on their website to get the full impact of what God is doing at camp.

3. Compassion Pregnancy Center of Northeast Indiana, Angola. The CPC helps young expectant mothers and their children with counseling and resources to get started in the right direction. Several FMC attenders are deeply involved in this ministry. Check out their website.

4. Project Help of Steuben County, serving the under resourced with practical needs and referrals for just about everything imaginable. In 2013, Project Help provided Easter meals for 304 families and Easter baskets for 386 children at a cost of $7,000. They plan to do about the same this year. If you would like to help, just make a check out to Project Help and put it in the FMC offering. Or you may give online and designate it to Project Help Easter. Visit their website by clicking here.

Those are just four of our ministry partners. Visit ourwebsite for a complete list.
