Norm’s Notes

May 27, 2015

Linda and I had three grandchildren with us last Saturday, Andy and Brooke’s three girls:
Brin, age 4; Isla, 7; and Aislynn, age 9. This is what I learned from them.

The name of the Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers mascot on the package is Brooke – the same name as their mom. Their mom told them that she had named the goldfish when she was a child.

Some of the new flavors of DumDum suckers taste horrible but you can use the wrappers on the suckers as wrapping paper for gifts for your dolls. (I think we call this ‘re-purposing’.)

Aislyn is just finishing the third grade. One of her recent school assignments was for her and two classmates to use the computer to create a PowerPoint presentation of a chapter from “The Little House on the Prairie” book the class was reading and then transfer it to a flash drive so they can show others too. The question that came to me was “are you smarter than a third grader?” No, I am not.

Those are just some life lessons from three of the best little girls I know.

See you Sunday!
