Norm’s Notes

May 8, 2015

Mother’s Day is Sunday. If this is your first Mother’s Day that mom is in Heaven, consider picking up the new piece of literature in the literature rack – Grief, Living at Peace with Loss. It will help you. Also, the daily email from GriefShare is healing to many (see sidebar for link).

I always remember what Mom said to me:
Norman, sit up straight. Mom always called me Norman.
Norman, you worry me.
Norman, we are proud of you.

I remember Mom’s homemade cinnamon rolls and big pot of baked beans with bacon on top every Saturday. I remember when my mom met Linda for the first time. Mom told me, “she is as cute as a bug’s ear” – and she still is!

The National Day of Prayer service on the Steuben County Courthouse lawn yesterday was very good. The area home schoolers had a major part with scripture reading and prayer. It is encouraging to see young people pray for our nation.
See you Sunday!

Breakfast with Pastor Norm and Linda

Each Saturday in May, 7:30 a.m. at Sutton’s Deli in downtown Angola. Everyone buys their own. Let’s solve all the world’s problems and some of our own too.

Manure Spreader, Dirty Pitch Fork, Load of Hay – these are all on the menu at the ice cream place in Jonesville, Michigan. This ol’ farm boy stopped in there last weekend. Take your small group to the udder side some time.

“Formerly Flints”
