This Week
This Sunday’s message is “The Cross” by Billy Graham. It is contemporary and a discussion starter for those who are taking their first steps toward Jesus. Bring the neighborhood.

I am working on the Homecoming / 40th Anniversary Celebration message of how God has always brought the right people at the right time into my life and into the life of the church to help me and the church grow when needed and to help us take next steps in reaching more people. I am up through 1986 on it; only 28 more years to go.
Linda and I give a special invitation to families who are coming long distances to please stay for the out-of-town-guests meal so we can catch up and reminisce.
It is at
noon on October 12. Make sure to RSVP to
Michelle to reserve your spot.

The following is something FMC regular attenders already know but it is even better when those who do not attend FMC tell you it is true. I have had two people, who do not attend FMC, tell me that our secretaries are the most friendly, kind, professional secretaries that they talk to and it is a joy to call the church knowing they will always get a cheerful, helpful voice. One of these people interacts with churches all over northeast Indiana and said our secretaries are the best they have ever worked with. Thank you, ladies, for making us look and feel so good.
