Our Niece, Kristin Creager, has been in declining health for over a year. This past week it has gotten to the critical stage. She has several genetic disorders that cause her normal body functions to go "haywire". She has not been able to work or barely leave the house because her blood pressure could drop suddenly without warning and pass out. Or her heart rate could elevate to a dangerous rate. She had been vomiting mostly non stop for several weeks so two weeks ago she had surgery to try to repair something in her stomach so that she would stop vomiting. Early this week she started vomiting again, and she was admitted back to the hospital. Her liver is shutting down and they can't get her to quit vomiting. Her team of doctors can't seem to find a solution. Many, many prayers are needed for the doctors, her husband, and of course, Kristin.

Update from Lisa:

Nathan is doing amazingly well. We came home Saturday night exhausted and overwhelmed with everything that needed to be set up and done and looking to the days ahead.

Sunday morning he talked with his dad and gave him a prayer request and to let people know. He wanted a glass of water to drink. He couldn't swallow with all the trauma and swelling and just swishing water in his mouth was a treat. He wanted people to pray for him every time they took a drink of water - that he would be able to swallow and get rid of the feeding tube. He sipped water, having to spit most of it out for the rest of the day.

That evening he began to be able to swallow more and more and around 9:45 he drank a full glass of water! Later that night he drank a meal (since his jaw is wired shut) and removed the feeding tube - what an answer to prayer!

Tuesday morning were the doctor appointments to remove the stitches from jaw surgery and the ENT removed the trache - he is on his way to further healing. He will have his jaw wired for another 5 weeks and a neck brace for another 7-8 weeks.

There have been so many answered prayers. God is so good. The harder things are the closer He is.

Nathan wants to keep challenging people to pray and help out - whoever they see is in need, keep reaching out and share Jesus.

Trying to keep it real.. Another hard afternoon.

Feeding tube didn\'t go as planned so tomorrow they will try another way. I was tired and really frustrated. I\'m getting a glimpse of how exhausting this journey is going to be.

Nathan was a rockstar and is ready to do whatever it takes. He\'s cheering up every nurse, doctor, visitor that he comes across. Christ has lit a brighter fire than ever in his heart & just ask anyone who has seen him about it 🙂

clear direction for a feeding tube,

our perseverance & attitude(his is great, mine is up & down..)

Trust in Him

And people who are able to see the hope of Christ through this- To God be the glory.

My husband Brandon and I are heading back down to IU thu s morning for a camera pill procedure for him so hopefully it can capture areas the doctors couldnt reach and hopefully find the problem. As well as I see my Neurologist at IU for my HM (stroke type migraines). Please pray for safe travels and medical answers. Thank you and God Bless!
