Truths that Transform

“I wanted to write this letter to you to tell you how my life has changed in a lot of ways from bad to good. It has been about 8 months. I didn’t think I would be appreciated or be able to love again or to feel like I had anyone’s respect because what I had been through in the last 11 years. I came back here to Angola. We were strangers but Rod (Wilson, Turning Point director) let us in. We met a family that attends Fairview and even though we were strangers, they let us in and treated us as if we were family. Then we started attending Fairview and we were treated the same way at church. That really makes me smile because it tells me there is something in this life to live for and that I should give life a chance with Jesus in it. That also gives me a different outlook on life, not just for me but for my children.” – Living life with a new outlook.”

Personal Mission Statements

The letters “WFDME” help me remember the five purposes of “why I am here”. I am here to worship my God, to fellowship with other believers, to disciple by loving others and striving each day to be like Christ, to minister by using my talents, and evangelizing by sharing “the Good News”.

To make music for the Lord and to help others do the same.

As parents we want to help make our kids become less and less dependent on us as parents and totally dependent on God.

My heart is open – my hands are willing – take my life and use it for you.

To leave this world in a better position than it was when I arrived because of what the Lord is doing through and with me.

As a parent I want to see that my children have the desire AND walk even more closely to the Lord than I.

Remember, we may not have it all together, but together we have it all.
